SACNAS is an organization dedicated to helping indivuduals succeed in the scientific filed by providing a support group and a plethora of opportunities to network, research, and meet scientific professionals. The main goals of SACNAS are to increase the number of minorities with science degrees. increase the number of minorities in the scientific professions, research, leadership positions and teaching careers, and increasing governmental commitment in helping minorities succeed in science. This Rutgers Chapter will provide countless research opportunites, networking events, and constant moral support. We started as an official chapter Fall 2016 and were able to provide conference and travel funding to 10 Rutgers STEM students to attend the SACNAS National Conference in Long Beach, CA.
