Rutgers Cares – New Brunswick is a fairly new student organization that aims to provide unique and local volunteer opportunities in affiliation with Jersey Cares to students.
Jersey Cares, established in 1993, works to engage volunteers in meaningful, impactful projects for communities in order to encourage lifelong volunteerism. To inspire generations of Rutgers students, Jersey Cares and Rutgers Cares work together to provide a wide variety of community assistance to the New Brunswick community. Not only are the bonds between students and permanent residents are solidified, but personal growth, compassion, and individual skills are developed as a result of such activities. To join Rutgers Cares, you are provided a wide spectrum of opportunities to help better the city. Here, you (the student) are granted the freedom to learn more about other causes, charities, fundraisers, etc. that you may personally identify with and would love to partake in. An added bonus is that, instead of going through the struggle of searching for specific volunteer work you’d like to pursue, Rutgers Cares is an all-encompassing organization that offers a variety of volunteer services in partnership with Jersey Cares.
Rutgers Cares plans to hold meetings and events on a bi/tri-weekly basis during the 2020-2021 school year, on Thursdays around 8:30PM-9:30PM
**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO THE DISCUSSION BOARD IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS AND/OR SUGGESTIONS FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR! (:
