Our environmental consulting company with a main office in South Hackensack, NJ, and satellite office in Manhattan has opening(s) for environmental field technician(s) to collect various types or air/bulk/water samples. This is a typical position one takes on to begin a career pathway in environmental consulting which can later branch off into many exciting directions (Certified Industrial Hygienist, other environmental health and safety, project management, compliance, etc.)
Because asbestos/lead/mold other environmental sampling requires a regulatory certification, our company sponsors training for these specialties.
We have in the past and are currently in the process of developing a few new entry-level hires and find that they enjoy diversity and flexibility to discover where their strongest interest lie in the environmental field.
Our current work involves relatively low COVID exposure risk because most assignments are either outdoors or the field technician works independently.
Qualified candidates must have good communication, computer, and writing skills, plus be able to travel to/from project sites in New Jersey and New York.
