The Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) is seeking a Clean Energy Intern to assist in our work promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency in New York. The Intern would be assisting ACE NY staff in our participation in several ongoing proceedings at the New York State Public Service Commission in relation to the recently passed Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, in which New York is designing the structure to achieve its 70% renewable energy by 2030 goal. The Clean Energy Intern will conduct research and analysis of clean energy policies; develop written outreach materials regarding our clean energy policy goals; and assist with day-to-day office activities. This is an unpaid position that will be conducted virtually.

The Alliance for Clean Energy is a member-based organization with a mission of promoting clean, renewable electricity technologies and energy efficiency in New York State, in order to increase energy diversity and security, boost economic development, improve public health and reduce air pollution. We are a member-based advocacy organization, and our members include a variety of renewable energy and energy efficiency businesses, as well as public interest environmental organizations. Our work focuses on building market opportunities for renewable energy and energy efficiency businesses through policy advocacy at State agencies and the Legislature. ACE NY is the New York State affiliate of the American Clean Power and the Advanced Energy Economy Institute.
This position is open to current graduate and undergraduate students seeking a degree in business administration, public administration, public policy, political science, environmental studies, energy policy, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in clean energy policy. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience and strong communication skills.
