Barbara Zito

For most of my career, I have followed a dual path as an educator and a writer. I have many print and online publication credits, and my debut novel is forthcoming Fall 2021. I earned my MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and my BA in English and Theatre from Wagner College. My favorite thing about working at Rutgers is the chance to connect with so many creative students in a variety of majors.

My career tip: Start building your professional network as early as possible. Make connections with people in various industries and fields so that you can explore as many possibilities as possible for your career.
